60 isn’t a finish line.

WNP 60+ Pickleball Pathway. Play. Improve. Compete — if you want to.
Your game. Your goals. Your pace.

Tell us what you want from it

Your pickleball can still change enormously — whether you want to improve your shots, feel stronger on court, play more structured games or see what competition is like.

We’re building a 60+ pathway around what our players actually want. For some that might mean a regular 60+ Round Robin. For others it might mean finding a partner, entering a local event, or eventually heading to the English Open. And if competition isn’t your thing, that is fine too.

Your game. Your goals. Your pace.

Start here: 60+ Round Robin

No partner needed. Rotating partners. Structured games in a supportive environment.

A simple first step if you would like to try something slightly more structured than Social Play — and a good way to see what matchplay feels like without entering anything.

Where could your pathway take you?

These are not steps in order, and nobody has to do all of them. Pick the ones that sound like what you want.

Build confidence

Play regularly, understand scoring and become more comfortable in games.

Develop your game

Coached sessions focusing on technique, movement, positioning and tactics.

Try 60+ matchplay

Join one of our 60+ Round Robins and experience structured games in a supportive environment.

Build strength

60+ strength and conditioning designed to help you stay capable on court.

Find your people

Meet potential partners and other players who want similar things from their pickleball.

Try an event

Enter a WNP club competition or a local event, if and when you feel ready.

Go further

Regional events, national events, or even the English Open — if that is what you want to work towards.

Too old to compete? Get a grip. That is our line for the people who fancy it — and being 60+ does not mean your pickleball has stopped developing, whether or not you ever enter anything.

Two ways to train

60+ Coached Pickleball

A dedicated coached session — technique, tactics, movement, doubles positioning, partner communication, scoring, match strategy and tournament preparation.

Likely to run once a fortnight to start with. How often it runs will depend on what people tell us below.

60+ Strength & Conditioning

Functional strength, balance, mobility, muscular strength and conditioning, to help you stay physically capable of training and competing.

Not a generic exercise class. It exists to keep you on court — with an emphasis on building and keeping muscle, which is the thing that decides how long you go on playing.

Scalable and joint-friendly, so different levels of ability train together. Weekly.

Want something bigger to work towards?

For some players, the English Open in August 2027 could be a brilliant long-term goal, and we will help you get there. For others, a WNP Round Robin, a local event, or simply becoming a stronger and more confident player may be exactly enough.

There is no required destination.
